For the past ten years FMM have partnered with NYS Senator Monica M. Martinez in an annual backpack and school supply event. In addition to the school supplies, we have a dozen barbers providing free haircuts as well as entertainment, food trucks, and other surprises for the students. To date we have serviced more than 10,000 children!
FMM In the Community
As proud as we are at FMM of our legal victories and representation of our clients, we have instilled in our staff the importance of giving back to the community. Every year we host more than a dozen free events for those we are fortunate and blessed to serve. In addition to these events, we have quietly assisted hundreds of folks who either themselves or through agencies, reach out to us for help at a time of need. At FMM we do our best to never say no when we can assist others. During Covid, we were the only law firm in New York that opened our offices in affiliation with Dr. Lawrence Goldman, provided free Covid vaccines and PPP to those who would otherwise not have access to same during the pandemic. Through our philanthropic efforts and at the urging of others, in 2022 FMM formed Fundacion de Esperanza, the Foundation of hope, our not-for-profit 501c3 organization. A few of our events are highlighted below.
Thanksgiving 2022
During the last 15 years FMM has given away more than 2500 Thanksgiving meals to families in need. We have hosted and served meals, delivered turkeys to home and to churches and even had a pickup event where families stopped by our office for to go meals with all the trimmings.
Halloween 2018
Halloween is a fun day at FMM every year. We have provided bicycle raffles, sponsored dance contests and even built a hay ride for the children to enjoy.
Thanksgiving Turkey Donation
This year FMM had three different Thanksgiving Turkey Donation events. This is our event at Iglesia Palabra de Restauracion in Bay Shore. Lance Kuba and Paralegal Ursula Guzman together with Executive Assistant Melissa Toich were on hand as turkeys and all the trimmings were distributed to 28 families.
Toy Drive
In December of 2013, FMM converted a portion of its offices in Hauppauge into a toy store for the holiday season. Together with the not-for-profit organization, PRONTO of Long Island, we serviced more than 30 families and 100 children that day. Each parent(s) went shopping in our virtual store and left with as many as five Christmas toys per child.
