Personal Injury
Paola Moncion, Esq. is a seasoned attorney licensed to practice in New York, with more than a decade of experience handling all stages of civil litigation. Her practice focuses on personal injury and insurance litigation, where she brings extensive courtroom experience and strategic insight to every matter she handles.
Prior to joining FMM, Ms. Moncion spent over 12 years working as corporate staff counsel for major insurance companies, litigating cases throughout the Bronx, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Nassau County. Suffolk County and Staten Island. In that role, she managed high-volume, high-exposure caseloads from inception through trial, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediations, and jury and bench trials. She has achieved successful outcomes in the vast majority of her cases. Her experience also includes summary jury trials, arbitrations, and mediations, as well as additional work in landlord-tenant law and residential foreclosure matters.
At the firm, Ms. Moncion represents injured plaintiffs in a wide range of personal injury matters, including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability (slip-and-fall) cases and construction accidents arising under New York Labor Law. She handles cases from inception through resolution, including investigation, discovery, depositions, motion practice, settlement negotiations and trial preparation. Drawing on her extensive prior experience litigating cases for insurance companies, Ms. Moncion brings a strategic, insider perspective to advocating for injured clients and maximizing their recoveries.
Ms. Moncion earned her Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law, where she was a Moot Court finalist and held leadership roles in several student organizations. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice, magna cum laude, from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, with a minor in Philosophy. She is fluent in Spanish and is known for her strong advocacy, meticulous preparation and unwavering commitment to protecting her clients’ rights.
